We stayed here in November of 2009 and really enjoyed it. The hotel had a little of everything. Our room was clean, the all day buffet was a great value. The pool was spacious and wasn't crowded. The elevators/inclinators were confusing and we kept getting turned around though.

Always wanted to stay at Luxor, looks like a nice building- should not have waited as it is well worn now. The carpet in the room was stained and dirty. The sheets on the beds had holes in them and the towels in the bathroom rough and thread bare. Takes getting used to the elevators that pull from right to left at an angle, if not drunk- you will feel like it! Since it is built with open core and inside walkways to rooms, the sound of music and slot machines echos into the rooms late at night and smell of smoke in non-smoking room was annoying. For similar rate there are many newer places to stay within walking distance, all on the strip.

Overall our room was a disappointment. We were placed on the 3rd floor...no view at all. The batroom door was a slide type and was almost impossible to close. The shower drain was plugged with hair and would not drain. We had friends in the next room with the same issue. Apparantly this does not get checked on a regular basis.

upgraded from Pyramid room to suite in East Tower on "special" offered at check in, room was nice/quiet/clean/comfortable found that in general the staff in the restaurants and casino areas were not particularly friendly, most looked a bit dissatified or disinterested in positive PR for their workplace.
