We stayed at the hotel for an entire week in August 2010. The hotel was everything that we expected and more. The rooms were exactly as described, spacious and clean. They just need to change the brand of their toliet paper (it was too hard). :-) The staff was very nice and courteous throughout our entire stay. We had an excellent view of the strip and the hallway was not noisy at all. Our room was cleaned daily; the bed was made each day and fresh, clean towels were received daily. We visited other hotels along the strip and if the MGM hotel was not available, I would have stayed at Caesars Palace or at the Bellagio. This hotel has 6 pools that are very spacious; the ventilation is excellent...you can't even tell that people are smoking in the casino. Regardless what time of day or night that you go down to the casino..you can always find a slot machine or a gaming table to play on. They had so many in this casino. Just be prepared for lots of people walking the strip.

It's got to be the best place on the Strip. The Casino was pretty much crowded w/people all the time. The pool experience is awesome! Plenty of opportunity to find shade and the river pool was exciting. Good food and food court was an economical way to go.

If your looking for luxury look elsewhere! When checking in I asked for an upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite thinking it would make a great anniversary surprise. What an absolute disappointment. TV's are the old type most people have thrown away. Wall paper peeling from walls, carpet stained. I can only hope this building is due to be imploded soon. The lazy river pool was a floating pool of disgust. I had to pay extra to shower in spa that was kept up nicely. Unlike other reviews staff was incredibly friendly and when noticed that the comforter was very dirty they sent staff immediate to replace it with all new linens. They have really good employees just the MGM is at the end of it's time.

MGM Grand charges for things that it lists as amenities on its website. In addition to the $* resort fee per night that you have to pay to use the pool and the in-room internet, you have to pay $* per day to use the fitness center. Also, the business center charges you $* per minute to use the internet on its computers. Neither of these two charges are listed on the hotels website.
